Why Fifty Plus?
Welcome to Five Zero Plus. Our focus is simple we want to see people aged fifty plus thrive and lead fulfilling lives.
So what's so special about them? For a start when they lose their jobs they will typically take longer than 12 months to find a new one, and on current trends many will not get a replacement job. We understand the sense of loss and diminished sense of self worth that this creates.
Apart from the psychological and financial pressures, they cease to contribute taxes and their ability to support local business diminishes as their saving deplete. This puts pressure on local businesses, many of whom will also go into terminal decline, exacerbating the situation.
We believe that the accumulated wisdom and track record that this group possess should not be lost, but rather it should be nurtured and enhanced. You can call it personal rebranding and reinvention.
The great news is that we are creating first class solutions - that help people work though their options and arrive at the optimum solution for them, whether they are seeking a new career/ job, or starting a new business with the best chance of success. Once people are thriving they are in a position to re-contribute into the community again, for the benefit of the local businesses.
